This remarkable museum is a former 18th-century viceregal residence built atop a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid. San Martín Square and its imposing bronze equestrian statue of the Liberator José de San Martín. The Plaza Mayor (or Plaza de Armas), the place where Francisco Pizarro, the Spanish conquistador, founded the city, following the layout of Spanish cities, with the four main buildings of the square: the Government Palace, built in 1938 on the site of Pizarro's palace, which houses the residence of the President of the Republic; the Cathedral of Lima, next to the Archbishop's Palace, and the City Hall.

DÍA 3 – DOMINGO 08 DE NOVIEMBRE 2026 / AREQUIPA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Full-day tour of Arequipa, the White City, so named for its buildings made of white "sillar," a volcanic stone, and also for its Hispanic origins. We will visit the Plaza de Armas, which, although dating only from the 3th century, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful squares in Peru. It is adorned on three sides with a double row of arcades. From the plaza, you can admire the three volcanoes that surround the city: the conical Misti, at 5.822 m; Pichu Pichu, at 5.669 m; and Chachani, the highest of them all, at 6.075 m.

Next, we will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, one of the most important colonial religious monuments in Peru. It was founded in 1579 and built like a small city. It was a cloistered monastery until 1970, when the nuns decided to live in community and open their cloisters to tourists.

The monastery occupies an area of twenty thousand square meters and its distribution is similar to that of the neighborhoods of the city of Arequipa.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Andean Sanctuaries, which is renowned for housing the Lady of Ampato or Juanita, one of the most important and best preserved mummies in Peruvian history.

This is the mummy of a girl sacrificed on the Ampato volcano during the Inca ritual of Capac Cocha and found in a good state of preservation in 1996.

Here you will also find the mummies of other girls found in the Andes Mountains, such as the mummy 'Urpicha' and 'Sarita'.

After the visit, return to the hotel and free time at your leisure.

Accommodation.

DÍA 4 – LUNES 09 DE NOVIEMBRE 2026 / AREQUIPA – CUZCO

Breakfast at the hotel.

We will leave the rooms in the morning and then go sightseeing in the city.

We begin with a visit to the San Camilo Central Market: an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the daily life of the locals, a colorful Peruvian market with the most everyday products for them and which for us will seem the most exotic, such as maca (energy drink), coca leaves, llama fetuses, fish and other products used by healers (elixirs, lucky charms), as well as numerous local products, cheeses, fruits, dehydrated potatoes, etc.

We will taste a juice made from exotic fruits such as lucuma, cherimoya, granadilla or papaya from Arequipa, to experience their unique flavors.

Next, a visit to the Santa Teresa Viceregal Art Museum, a fundamental space for understanding and appreciating the artistic and cultural heritage of Arequipa.

Located in the city's historic center, this former 18th-century Carmelite convent houses an important collection of colonial artworks dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries, including paintings, sculptures, altarpieces, and valuable pieces of religious gold and silverwork. The works reflect the fusion of European and indigenous influences characteristic of viceregal art and its white stone architecture.

The tour allows you to appreciate the original atmosphere of the monastery and learn about aspects of the life of the cloistered nuns of that time.

Lunch at a picantería (traditional culinary spaces, considered Cultural Heritage of the Nation, that preserve ancestral recipes, often run by women, known as picanteras).

After the visits, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cuzo.

18.15 Arequipa 19.15 Cuzco

Arrival at the airport and meeting with our guide and bus for transfer to the hotel and accommodation for one night with breakfast included.

Accommodation.

DÍA 5 – MARTES 10 DE NOVIEMBRE 2026 / CUZCO – VALLE SAGRADO

Breakfast at the hotel.

We will leave the rooms in the morning and then go sightseeing in the city.

We will visit on foot the Plaza de Armas, the exterior of the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, the most important Christian temple in the city, built between 1560 and 1654 on the site of the ancient Inca palace Kiswarkancha, in a Renaissance, Gothic, and Baroque style (it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site); and the Temple of the Sun, or Koricancha, considered the most important religious center of the Incas. Afterward, we will visit the traditional San Blas neighborhood, known as the artists' and artisans' quarter.

We will walk along Hatun Rumiyoq Street where the 12-angled stone is located, famous for the perfection of its characteristics; its immense polygonal structure (estimated to weigh approximately 6 tons) fits perfectly with the stones that surround it.

Next, we will take our minibus and travel to visit two of the city's closest ruins; starting with the archaeological site of Tambomachay, a three-level building constructed around a spring often called the "Inca bath", which houses two majestic stone fountains that are still in operation, once frequented by the Inca nobility.

Next, we will visit Sacsayhuaman, a fortress whose construction dates back to the 15th century. This Inca architectural achievement is a magnificent structure, as it is the largest ceremonial center built by the Incas during their empire. Its immense walls, weighing over 120 tons, and its unique architecture make it one of the greatest treasures of the Inca Empire.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch we will begin our transfer to the Sacred Valley, making stops for views along the way.

Visit Awana Kancha, an exhibition center for South American camelids that houses vicuñas, guanacos, alpacas, and llamas. It also features a textile center where you can see the different types of fibers obtained from South American camelids; the tools used in artisanal textile manufacturing; the types of looms used by all pre-Columbian cultures; how they dyed the fibers, etc.

Next, we'll visit Pisac. Perched on a 300-meter cliff overlooking the town, it served the three main functions of the Incas: religious, agricultural, and military, each located in a different part of the city. Pisac is believed to have defended the southern entrance to the Sacred Valley. There are Inca hot springs, ancient tombs, and buildings that likely housed Inca nobles and priests. The trail leads to a breathtaking viewpoint, from where you can see the grand temple buildings below and the magnificent agricultural terraces still in use. The stones of the most important buildings are perfectly fitted together, as they were throughout the Inca Empire. At the heart of the site, the rounded walls of an astronomical observatory surround a carved stone monument, the Intihuatana: the sun anchor stone, used for astronomical observations.

Free time to stroll through the Pisac market. This colorful artisan market offers all kinds of products, including beautiful handwoven textiles.

Arrival at the indicated accommodation for two nights with breakfast included.

Accommodation.

DÍA 6 – MIÉRCOLES 11 DE NOVIEMBRE 2026 / VALLE SAGRADO

Breakfast at the hotel.

Next, departure from the hotel for a full-day excursion.

We will begin in Moray, which was likely an Inca agricultural research center where crop experiments were conducted at different altitudes. The arrangement of its terraces creates a gradient of microclimates, with the center of the concentric circular terraces having a higher temperature that gradually decreases towards the outside, thus simulating up to 20 different types of microclimates. It is believed that Moray may have served as a model for calculating agricultural production not only in the Urubamba Valley but also in different parts of the Inca Empire.

We will continue with the visit to Salinas de Maras

Maras is a town located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where an ancient custom is still practiced: the use of pre-Incan salt ponds, or "salt mines." These incredible structures continue to provide the town and the country with its pink salt, which has been recommended by experts as a healthy option for flavoring food due to its healing properties. From a distance, the salt-encrusted ponds of Maras resemble a layer of snow covering the slopes of Mount Qoripujio. It is a spectacular sight. Each of the more than 3.000 pools has various shades of white or brown. Maras salt has been harvested since pre-Incan times, and travelers are invited to see this centuries-old tradition in action.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon we will travel to visit the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo.

Ollantaytambo is thought to have been a strategic military, agricultural and religious center for administering and controlling the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This is deduced from the constructions that are presumed to have been for agricultural storage and for military use such as walls and watchtowers (probably to protect themselves from jungle ethnicities).

The town of Ollantaytambo was divided into rectangular blocks with a well-planned geometric layout that gives the impression of being a town designed by modern architects. Its narrow streets open up towards the Urubamba River.

Return to the hotel and accommodation.

DÍA 7 – JUEVES 12 DE NOVIEMBRE 2026 / VALLE SAGRADO – AGUAS CALIENTES (MACHU PICHU)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Ollantaytambo station to take the PERURAIL VISTADOME TRAIN: OLLANTAYTAMBO/ AGUAS CALIENTES.

Arrival in Aguas Calientes and lunch included at a local restaurant.

Next, transfer by bus to the top of the mountain and meet with the guide for the visit to the Machu Picchu site.

The citadel was discovered by American archaeologist Hiram Bingham in 1911 and remained inaccessible until an archaeological mission uncovered the Inca Trail in 1940, which leads through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the citadel. Machu Picchu was home to priests, high officials, servants, artisans, and, above all, acllas, the chosen women dedicated to the service of the Sun God. The fate of the city's inhabitants remains unknown.

Both during the Conquest and the colonial period, the Spanish never discovered Machu Picchu because it was invisible from the valley floor. Several hypotheses have been put forward to explain the disappearance of its inhabitants: epidemics, ostracism during the brutal civil war that tore the empire apart before its fall. The Incas left no written or oral explanation. Excavations at the site have only deepened the mystery.

At the end of the tour we will return in the special bus, towards Machu Picchu Pueblo.

Arrival at the Aguas Calientes hotel and stay for two nights with breakfast included.

Accommodation and dinner included.

DÍA 8 – VIERNES 13 DE NOVIEMBRE 2026 / AGUAS CALIENTES (MACHU PICHU) – CUZCO

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will take the bus back up to the top of the mountain for our second visit to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu to enjoy the incredible citadel on our own this morning.

After the visit, we will take the bus back to Machu Picchu Pueblo.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

At the indicated time, departure by train to the Poroy station, on the PERURAIL VISTADOME TRAIN: AGUAS CALIENTES/ POROY.

Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Cusco for a two-night stay with breakfast included.

Accommodation.

DÍA 9 – SÁBADO 14 DE NOVIEMBRE 2026 / CUZCO

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today we will visit the South Valley of Cusco and make our first stop at the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, built in the late 16th century and known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas for its dazzling Baroque interior, rich in murals, gold leaf, and art from the Cusco School. It is notable for the decoration by Luis de Riaño and its historical role in evangelization.

We will continue to Pikillacta, curiously named in Quechua "Town of the Fleas." Originally, Pikillacta was a city of the Wari culture (6th to 13th centuries AD), an important civilization that predated the Inca civilization. The Wari were replaced by the Chancas, who in turn were defeated, after intense battles, by the Incas, who continued to inhabit Pikillacta. In the Pikillacta complex, built by the Wari and later reused and partially modified by the Incas, more than 700 buildings, 500 storage facilities, and several two-story houses can still be seen, distributed along neighborhoods and straight streets. It is estimated that up to 10.000 people may have lived in this city.

Finally, we will visit Tipón, an archaeological complex dedicated to water, a sacred element for the Incas. The water flows down the slopes of the "Apu" (sacred mountain) Patachuan through long channels of carved stone. The crystal-clear stream flows through small springs where rituals were performed in honor of this sacred element. The water was channeled through ingenious hydraulic systems to fertile terraces built of carved stone, which are still in use today and which we will be able to observe.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After the visit, return to the hotel.

Accommodation.
